Rachel Shaw, MLIS
Professional Genealogist
My passion for family history was ignited when I started learning more my maternal line. My 2nd and 3rd great grandmothers faced so many hardships but they survived well enough that I am here today. (See my article from the California Genealogical Society's California Nugget: "Prudence Beamish Oaks: An Independent Woman").
Learning about these women and sharing their stories with my family helped us realize how much our past informs our present. There are so many untold stories just waiting to be revealed. I'd love to be part of your journey of discovery.
